Johny Antony who has engraved his own brand name in Malayalam cinema Industry with bright humor entertainers, which are more of interest to children He is now back with Ee Pattanathil Bhootham featurisng super star Mammootty.

The story revolves around adventure tales in Balarama. Unlike the balarama which attract children and elders, this film seems to uphold only the attention of children.

A wicked magician gets the power above a Bhootham. He plans to employ it for his filthy actions. He however loses Bhootham in an accident and it gets into the hands of kids in the circus tent. It was the time when a foul play has taken place over the possession of this circus. Kavya madhavan arrives as the daughter of circus proprietor played by Janardhanan who gets killed. What go after are clash between good and the evil.

Mammootty do a double act of Bhootham as well as Jimmy, the circus stunt man. Mammooty’s character Jimmy is eye candy while his second character won’t appeal much, mostly due to the childlike voice which may get misidentified.

Animation done in film is noticeable to the eyes of every other viewer who are watching visual amusement. Comedy by Suraj Venjaramood and Salim Kumar is good. Music is by Shaan.

Jayaram is indeed perfect for his role. cinematographer Venu and Ilayaraja has done a great job. Kanihaa looks perfect as a Christian girl from a rural surroundings, though her character has few dialogues in the movie. Most of Sathyan Anthikkad's trusted actors including Innocent, Mammukoya, K.P.A.C. Lalitha and Narein have perfect roles. Even the two girls who played the role of Jayaram's sisters and the owner of the fishing boat have performed well to make the movie perfect.
